Some planted trees can survive in extreme places, but even after years they can look like an overgrown bonsai or survive and gradually die. If they are planted in inappropriate places without thoughtful relationships and care, they are subject to diseases and natural pests over time.

As a temporary laboratory, the Landscape Festival will provide a platform for learning about the planned transformations of selected areas in Prague 3 and Prague 10, including the revitalization of a traffic brownfield into a cultural and social cluster. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the unique Prague wilderness in the locality of Žižkov and Malešice. The festival will run from June to September 2024.

The Landscape Festival is a multidisciplinary platform that has been offering space for more than ten years to discuss the quality of the urban landscape of Czech, Moravian and Silesian cities and towns. The basic idea of the festival is to raise awareness of the scope, meaning and significance of the field of landscape architecture in relation to contemporary architecture, art and public space. In the form of temporary architectural interventions, art installations, exhibitions and happenings, they try to transform the urban parterre for the summer season and create a participatory area for the meeting of residents, politicians, the professional public and visitors.
