The center's program combines local social and cultural themes with the work of contemporary artists active on the Czech and foreign scene. It is conceived as a meeting place for theoreticians, experts, artists, the wider and specialist public. Its program is compiled into thematic blocks, which follow on from current social events. For the year 2024, there are four blocks: Winter work, Staged photography and its story, One set (intergenerational blending) and Deer in the landscape (contemporary sculpture in the landscape and public space). We organize exhibitions, lectures, meetings and workshops for each topic, bringing together artists, experts, interest organizations and the general public. We cooperate with selected guests and partner organizations on the program. The program is complemented by a residency for artists, a summer workshop week for children and a Summer School for teachers.

We founded the SCHULE cultural center in July 2022 in the building of the former German school in Orlické hory, which for a long time served as a place for education, meetings and later also as a cultural center of the village. We decided to use the potential of this place to establish a center focused on contemporary cultural and educational activities. The center's program combines local social and cultural themes with the work of contemporary artists active on the Czech and foreign scene. Our intention is to build a place for living contemporary culture and meeting in physical and online space. For this purpose, we organize discussions, exhibitions, workshops, shows, performances and short-term residencies, to which we invite specialists in the field, interested parties and the wider public.
