The selection for the exhibition at the arto.to gallery in Uhelný mlýn focused on paintings with natural mineral pigments, inspired by the author's stay in Iceland, a geologically unstable landscape. The exhibition also presents a collection of spatial objects, in some of which local ash is used as an expressive element. The ensemble meaningfully refers not only to the very specificity of the coal mill and the neighboring boiler house, i.e. to the metamorphic power of the element of fire, but also to the ecological level of human behavior in general. Dagmar Šubrtová often uses a circular form, symbolizing the eternity of natural movement, as well as the human articulation of time. From her works, we perceive an authentic interest and desire to remind once again of the belonging of our existence with the living changing environment of the earth's macrostructure, the harmony of the inner with the cosmic.
